2017

K3 is formed by guitarist János Kállai as an instrumental trio.

K3 means: soul (Egyptian word).

The band plays heavy-rock and from 2017 they work with a singer.

K3 works together with a lot of big names like:

2013

Mr. John Cuniberti (Joe Satriani' Recording Engineer / Producer / Mastering Engineer) mastering the new K3 - Key to Paradise EP.

The bass legend Stuart Hamm (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Carl Verheyen..) playing all the tracks of K3 - Key to Paradise EP.

The legendary drummer Atma Anur joins K3.

Janos published his first writing in the Hangfoglalás magazine about the brand new Engl Victor Smolski guitar amplifier.

The first unplugged K3 concert.

Janos got request from the Hungarian official Dean dealer company,( Fejes Ker. Kft, hangszerarzenal.hu), to make a demonstration video about Dean acoustic-electric guitar.

For the request of Music.hu, Janos has written two concert reviews. The first about Joe Satriani the famous guitar player, than the other was written about well-known Hungarian rock band called Tankcsapda.

The first fishing tutorial DVD with translated on four language was made by Fishmedia.hu, and flyfish.hu. The film features the music of K3.

K3 music airplay in Indonezia.

 


2010

K3 Garden Of Death album reviews with high, and maximum scores on the sites of the domestic and international music websites and press.

The first debute airplay of the Garden Of Death album in Verona, Italy. "The Pit of the Damned" metal radio show with K3!

Janos got request from the Hungarian official Engl dealer company, (Fejes Ker. Kft hangszerarzenal.hu), to make a demonstration video about his Engl equipment, and setup.

K3 in Greece. Album review, and airplay rotation on the site of the greek Flight of Pegasus radio.

The new K3 album debute in the Polish Pro-Radio (www.proradio.pl) and also in permanent rotation the Under a Spell album.

The K3 members has made a short greetings radio spots several times for the request of the Polish Radio Pro Rock.

Flood Live Aid concert event for the victims of the flood in Central Europe, 2010. Unconventional lineup: Attila Herr: bass guitar (Besh o droM), Gabor Nagygyörgy: drums, Janos Kallai: guitar.

The Bloody Roots hungarian thrash metal band released their first album called Isten Kezében (Nail Records). Special guests Janos, és Peter. Bloody Roots tour with K3.

 


2009

Since February 2009 K3 numbers are available in the music boxes of 2000 clubs all over the country. The song "The End Of Evolution" is in permanent rotation.

The Portugal based Imperative Music Agency got in contact with K3 in February, and in March the contract was already signed. The record will be on sale only accross the atlantic, but it can be ordered online from Europe. The record will be released on April 2009.

From March to May: K3 went to studio to record it’s brand new album: “Garden Of Death” This album, will be distributed by Record Express. The album will be available in supermarkets and music shops all over the country with online ordering too.

Film music by K3! The latest motion picture of hungarian artist György Molnár Ki/Be Tawaret features the music of K3. In the film one can hear fragments of two K3 albums: Under a spell (2007) and Garden of death (2009). The movie is nominated to compete on the 41st Hungarian Film Festival. This is a brand new "territory" for the band, let us hope there is more to come!

Tamás Schmiedl (Smici) singer and guitarist from the legendary Hungarian thrash metal band called Moby Dick, asked Janos to collaborate with him on his new solo project (www.bloodyroots.hu ) for some guest riffs, and solos, also asked Peter for the bass parts! This record of the (Bloody Roots) Isten Kezében was a collaboration of great and internationally well-known musicians (from Nevermore, Ektomorf, Sear Bliss, Cadaveres, Dalriada, etc.)

 


2008

May 15: The Band was guest of the Royal Hungarian Television (MTV2) in the "Select the knowledge" show.

The band's songs were regularly aired by the Point FM 88.1 Rock Radio. On several occasions the K3 were the program's guest. Unfortunately, this Rock Radio station ceased at the end of January 2009.

A K3 song is included on a metal compilation, named Kill City, released at the end of summer 2008. The american, Hollywood based company 272 Records got in contact with K3 in June, and in July the contract was already signed. Initially the record was on sale only accross the atlantic, but with online ordering option from Europe. The record was released in Europe on 29-th August 2008.

August 10-th 2008, Tatabánya, Hungary: Handover of paintings This nice sunny Sunday the K3 band had the unique and great honour to receive pictures of each of the 3 members painted by the famous Hungarian artist Szilvia Rózsa-Újvári. She first met the band in person at a concert held on April 11-th 2008 in the Roxxy Music Café in Tatabánya. She was inspired by the mood of our songs as well as by the musicians’ way of performing. The actual handover of the paintings took place at a full-day family party held in Szilvia’s home.

 


2007

In the summer of 2007 K3, the band playing instrumental metal music, released it’s brand new album, called "Under A Spell". Published by CLS Records, the album has been available in supermarkets and music shops all over the country with online ordering (PayPal) too in Europe, U.S.A. and Australia.

The band shot video clips for two of the tracks: "The End Of Evolution" and „Under A Spell”.

The special guest on the Under a Spell album is the world famous keyboard player of Dream Theater Jordan Rudess.

The two video clips have been broadcasted on several occasions by the Australian Underground Sound rock music TV channel in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

The End Of Evolution clip was also shown in prime time on the “Peter Live Show” in Belgium.

The ”Under A Spell” album is already available on Jordan Rudess’ own discography!

 


2006

2002

start to explore new ways: The significant change and improvement would be reached in terms of sound engineering and sound itself through a new idea: use of PC based equipment.

In 2002 K3 released the first album, called "Above The World".

 


2001

Back to the roots - The band performed again as a Joe Satriani Cover Band in quartet form with keyboard. This challenge brings significant progress to the development of the orchestras professionalism and harmony. The program is two hours long.

 


2000

The name of the band is Kallai Trio (2000 – 2004)

áShortly the first, and right after the second audio CD, the band produced a new video clip and promotional DVD. The band appears on a music compilation cd of the “Ugrodeszka” Hungarian television broadcast. On this CD the band recorded 2 songs adaptations of Daniel Benkő lute artist.

1996

Initially on the concerts the band mostly played their own songs, but later the repertoire also comprised Joe Satriani songs. Joe Satriani, a significant person in the bands life, continues to have enormous influence on the band.

 


1995

Janos Kallai founded his first own band in 1995. The band is called HoneyFlak (1995 – 2000). Since the very beginning the intention was to play instrumental rock music in a trio.
